I purchased a replacement Lucas alternator a few weeks ago and found that even
though it was listed for a 70, the brackets (hangers) did not fit my, what I
believe are original, mounting brackets. The width of the alternator tabs
(where the mounting bolts go) is 3 1/4" on the inside and 4 1/4" on the
outside. Is this the correct width(s) for a 70? The rear "tab" has a small
spacer attached to the outside sticking out maybe 1/4" - 3/8" also... Any
advice would be appreciated, thanks
