Yes, I saw the cut out where the kingpin fits through the trunnion. I
supported the bottom edge of the trunnion and tried pressing the kingpin down
(threads protected with the loosened castle nut. No go.

Time for the blue torch...

        Numero uno,   how are you supporting the king pin in the press.   If
by chance you are putting
        a sizeable shaft thru the top trunnion, the kingpin will not push ,
pull or move because it has
        a cutout that forms arounnd the shaft or bolt that is in that hole.
If you had a dissassembled king pin to look at this would be obvious, but if
not,   not obvious.

        Ask me how I know that.  Second thought, don't.
