Maybe a quick one - try the carbon tip swap with another cap. Most times
these are similar. You also might swap the central HI Ternsion lead with one
from your B perhaps.

Onderwerp: [Mgs] Triumph but sorta MGB Related

Been working on a friends 1964 TR4 fpr the past two days attempting to get
it running after he broke down. . The problem is no fire to the plugs. The
points spark and the coil throws a healthy spark when you break the points
with the ignition turned on but there is no spark getting to the plugs hence
the car will not run. The distributor is very similar or the same as those
in the 60s MGBs.  To this point we have replaced the points, condenser and
coil but didn't have a cap or rotor available. Any suggestions as to what
should come next?
