On my 63 +4 it is on the top of the frame rail that runs from the bell
housing tunnel under your legs to the right side door. It is more toward
the center of the car than the outside. The number is die punched into the
top of the rail, but on my car it is VERY light (must have been a tough
previous night for the "VIN-Puncher"...).
