I just came back from a drive to San Jose at 11:30 at night in a 1963
Drophead that I just bought yesterday. What a nice car and a great drive.
It has 55,000 miles on it . The interior needs to be redone, but the top is
original and in excellent shape with the original pin beading in place. The
carpets are worn out, but the panel coverings are also in great shape. Even
the electrical tape securing the engine compartment wiring to the radiator
support rods is still intact as it was done in the factory. This is the
first original top on a drophead that I have seen in 3 years of looking! It
is going to be fun to bring such a great car back to as new and as
completely original as possible!
