The car 4 speed should go right into the normal 235 bellhousing. The
bottom two bolt holes on the car tranny are not threaded, so you'll need
nuts and bolts instead of just bolts. Most 60s and 70s vintage GM car 4
speed trannys should work, the Saginaw seems to be the best deal, and
they didn't seem to get abused as much as Muncies and T-10s. You might
luck out and find a Saginaw from a Vega or Monza type car (H body) with
the wide gear ratios...just what you'd want to get the oletruck moving
with a 235.

The shifter for a car 4 speed will cost money, expect to spend over $200
for a Hurst. They make one for Sagainaws in pickups, it has a long
lever. You may need to cut and reweld the lever at the bottom to move
the top forward to clear the seat.
