Are there much for instructions with the shifter? Sounds alot like you have
the neutral gate out of alignment and maybe not allowing the lever to pull
over to the 1 and 2 slot. Most shifters had a hole in them to put a drill
bit in of certain size, like 1/4 or 5/16" I'm thinking. Then you adjust the
rods off the trans arms till they meet the arms holes and drop in. The arms
need to be in correct position also. If you know all this and it don't
work..........Never Mind!  Ha!
