Tom: My 55-1st cab didn't look bad - was in primmer. I used Aircraft
Paint Remover from the local auto paint store & a 7" Dia. " plastic sponge
disk " that I pick up at a local swap meet in my slow speed 7" angle
grinder - worked great to get to bare metal. Big surprises - had seen some
rust in the corners but a lot more surface & some thick ( 1/2" ) bondo.

If I had it to do over again if I could get someone to blast & primmer ( use
epoxy primmer otherwise it could rust thru the primmer while you complete
the other body work) I would go for it. If I ever do another one would go
for blasting or dipping.

I also had some light pitting on the top - removed paint - painted with POR
15 & if you catch it at the time when it is tacking but will not come off on
your finger you can shot it with your primmer other wise you have to use POR
primmer first to assure adhesion ( per POR instructions ).

Good luck,
Jim
