I bought a used hoist last year, (used once by the previous owner,
and once by me). In order to transport it home, I had to disassemble
it so that it would fit in my truck. Well, actually, the previous
owner had disassembled it so that he could store it in the back of
his garage.

This particular hoist is from Sears, but I have seen other hoists
that are either foldable or can be disassembled for easy storage.
