In the past, my experience was that every time I bought a cheap tool, it
turned around and bit me.
That has changed. Maybe it's because China discovered heat treating. I
hate to admit it.
I recently bought a box of deep impact sockets, complete with plastic
carrying case, for $9.99. My son has had a set for a couple of years,
uses them for removing wheels and such, and has had no problems. I also
have a set of those long pry-bar type screwdrivers that cost next to
nothing and they are standing up very well.
