Made me curious, my saw is at 39 inches and it works for me. As for
workbenches, if I'm really going to be standing and working on something on
the workbench, I like the old workshop standard of placing your workpiece at
elbow height which is 46 inches for me.
If I figure I be working on something that averages four inches high, I want
a 42 inch surface. This means you can work without stooping and that really
helps my old back.
