Tip sells a flexible hose for that first connection to the compressor. Have you
checked with them? You will also want a union there to make disconnection easy.

I look forward to the pictures. My compressor still needs to be plumbed.

Subject: even MORE air line questions.

I'm just starting my black pipe project to run air around my warehouse,
and I've got a few questions...

First, the way I've designed things, the main run is 3/4" black pipe
(run about 16' in the air) with 10' 1/2" downspouts where needed.

For the downspouts, it seems to be easy enough to go from 1/2" to 3/8"
for the air hose, but on the compressor end, I'm having problems, the
compressor fitting is 3/4", the downspout for the compressor is 3/4";
I'd like to use some sort of flexible hose to connect the two to avoid
vibration, but I'm not seeing a lot of options out there.

What am I supposed to use to bridge this gap? Going
3/4->1/2->3/8->hose->3/8->1/2->3/4 seems pretty silly. (I can't even
find any 3/4"->3/8" direct adapters.

How have other people tackled this one?

p.s. I'll post some photos of the installation as I go, I remembered to
bring in my digital camera today.
