A friend of mine hooked up an automatic moisture separator to his compressor
tank. It was a junkyard part from a truck with air brakes. It consists of
a solenoid valve on either side of a water reservoir. Periodically the top
valve would close and the bottom valve would open. The pressure in the
reservoir would blow the water out to the drain. Then the valves would
return to normal.
