I know this is off topic, but the last new car I bought was in 1989 (and I
still have it!) So I don't know how to handle this.
Last night I stopped by a jeep dealer with rumors of a diesel
Liberty to ship by Dec.
But, what I ended up looking at was the new Dodge Durango. It's
MASSIVE (read expedition sized)
Then, they had one on the lot, with a Hemi 5.7! DAMN (and 4 wheel
drive with all wheel, open diff, and locked diff modes!)
Then, the tow weight is 8500lbs! (That is over my requirements.)
Then, they make me an offer. for a 2005, with GPS, tow package, and
just about fully loaded, $31,000. (I went on the web and built this same
truck and it came out to $38,000 with all cash back incentives)
Now, I wasn't expecting to buy, but I was thinking my next truck to
be in the $30k range. I was thinking of buying a used truck for the
$10k range.
Anyone have any opinions about this truck? BTW, it seats 7! I even
sat in the way back seat without a problem!
Now, I'm still in "negotiation mode" also. What more do you think I
can get off this truck? would another 5k be within reason?
Help, I need answers! (I'll likely be talking to the dealer around
4pm today.)
