I bought several smaller upgrades from lightguys.biz, who seem to be
shutting down (can't tell, but everything is out of stock). You
want to get a Luxeon LED. It looks like they make something
for a 4-cell unit; you need a BA2 adapter and a TLE4 or TLE5 bulb.

I have a Luxeon-based upgrade for a 3-C unit. I'm reasonably happy
with it - it's a flashlight where I care more that it's alive
when I (seldom) need it than for absolute brightness. One of the
problems with these upgrades is that the variable focus doesn't
work after the upgrade; that doesn't seem to be true for the
Luxeon units.
