Never had this happen. Instead of getting a battery & rolling the dice as t=
o whether you have a short in the generator, use the battery in a vehicle wi=
th jumper cables & put a headlight in series with it. If the headlight doesn=
=E2=80=99t light when you connect the leads, you don=E2=80=99t have a short.=
