Scott, and everyone else who searched through _The Vintage Triumph_ #69 in
vain for the price of John Macartney's _In the Shadow of My Father_ in
U.S. dollars: it's $25.00. The price DOES appear at John's website:
<http://www.toolbox.ndirect.co.uk/triumphbook/>; unfortunately, due to the
rush to publicize this book in our magazine, the price was omitted during
editing. (Mea culpa.)

Others who wish to order through VTR should make their check for $25.00
payable to "VTR" (please put "Macartney book" on the memo line). Send this
-- along with your name, address, fax and/or e-mail address if applicable,
and whether or not you would like the book autographed -- to Macartney
Book, c/o The Vintage Triumph Register, 15218 W. Warren Ave., Dearborn,
MI, 48126.

Again, for the benefit of Canadian members, the price is $37.00 Canadian
and the book may be ordered through British Columbia Triumph Registry, c/o
Michael Bayrock, 32088 Sherwood Crescent, Clearbrook BC Canada V2T 1C2;
(604) 864-2715 or e-mail <michael_bayrock@bctransit.com>.

Please get the word out to your local Chapters and Zones about this.
Deadline for RECEIPT of book orders by either VTR or BCTR is September 30,
1998. The VTR Book Service will likely purchase a few copies for "stock";
however, this book will enjoy only a single print run and likely will be
very difficult to obtain later on.
