Fred,

I learned AFTER I installed my overlay that Nigel (who is based in
Califonia) imports used good-condition original crashpads from England.
He obviously doesn't have all the variants in stock at all times.

Also, there are companies in Hemmings that redo crashpads on a custom
basis. But unless you are doing the 'concours' thing, they are probably
pricey.

Some have reported success with applying vinyl over the original pad, but
that was beyond my skill level methinks.

And hey, I think my Accu-Form dash cover is pretty original looking
compared to other brands I have seen since...(you always compare, you
know). You can't tell it's an overlay from the cockpit. If you look
carefully through the windshield (past the Spitfire Mail List decal!) you
can see the edge of the cover, but it's not THAT noticeable.

Good luck finding what you want. I held up my restoration for two months
while I looked for a crashpad, and finally settled on the overlay.
