Regarding the pressure plate. With my spit, the "fingers" of the pressure
plate started to get weak and thus I could not fully disengage the clutch.
It began to act like I was losing hydrolic pressure, ie, when sitting a light
with the clutch depressed and in gear, the car would slooooowly start to
creep. This all happened because I was a poor college student and
replaced the clutch without the pressure plate. It reminds me of what my
father-in-law always says: "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of
cure."

So, I don't think it has anything to do with your cornering problems.

I think we all understand your frustrations with bleeding.

Best wishes,

Kevin
