Hi everyone,

Yesterday I wrote the item below regarding Midget Vs Spitfire carburetion,
and was challenged by Barry Schwartz. After spending some time last night
squinting at the Appendices in the Haynes carb book, I can't say that such
a thing as a ZS 140CD carb exists. But I KNOW that there are differences
between the Spit & MG 1500 carbs (different needles and air piston return
springs, maybe?) I can't remember where I learned that.

Thanks to Barry for keeping me 'honest'.

DISREGARD THE FOLLOWING:

Verify that carb number! If you have a Midget 1500 engine in there, the
carb may be a Zenith-Stromberg 140CDE. The Spits used a larger 150CDE
carb, to be compatible with our freer-flowing exhaust manifold. If that is
the case, the needle might be wrong (but I don't know the specific numbers).
