Depending on your state, you may be able to temporarily wire a switch to
activate the lights manually. My dad's pickup was this way in Virginia,
where they had and still have annual safety inspections. Check with your
mechanic!

Subject: Reverse switch

Aloha all,

The reverse switch for my single rail tranny broke apart into many pieces
while trying to reinstall it after a resolder job. Too much torque can be
a bad thing. The trouble is that none of the catalogues seem to have one
for sale. Does anyone have an extra one sitting around that they want to
sell (or trade)? I have a '76 parts car available for trading parts.

Does anyone have an idea where I can find one for sale? All the cataloges
show the tranny in decent detail but never show the switch.

My car is overdue for a state safety inspection and it won't pass with out
the reverse lights working.

On a side note, I feel a little guilty because I have virtually ignored the
list for the last month or so, but where do I go for help when I need it?
Fortunately, I am now well ahead in all my classes so I have time to spend
working on the cars and finally reading the hundereds of unread spitfire
list emails.

Mahalo,
