Sorry about the blank email, my keyboard was dead.

I have gotten some "not looking new" parts from vic brit also. They were the
kinda parts (like your generator fan) that nobody buys . They just sit on the
shelf forever.
I wouldn't worry about it. The company I work for sells electronic controllers.
If we send one to a customer, (and it's returned) we can not resell it as "new".
Even if the customer didn't open the box.
