Spitfire frame question

Greetings list. As soon as I chop up the 76 body (in the next month or so) I
will be keeping the frame for a future project. I was wondering about a few
things. Is the 76 1500 frame the same as a GT6 frame? Could I put a GT6 body
on that frame without to much mod work? On the other hand if I decide to go
with another Spit what year models would fit that frame? I don't suppose a MK
I Spit would fit on the 1500 frame would it? I haven't decided yet if I want
to do a GT6 or a very early Spit. When the time comes though I will look for
one that has a bad frame but a decent body with title. How about it Joe, do
you have a Nigel clone sitting around somewhere? :-) I won't be doing this
for quite some time. First the Sprite and Judas get done then I will look to
do this. Just looking for info so I know if I should let the frame go and
just pursue a complete restorable car or if what I have in mind will in fact
work. If I have to hunt a complete car later then it will be a 62 or 63
Spitfire. Thanks in advance.
