fyi, my $2100 rimmer order with the free shipping took 5 weeks to arrive to
san jose, california. much of the delay was with dhl (ny, ny) who required a
fax'd letter with signature certifying to customs that these were "car parts
intended for private use and not for use by a dealer or for resale". of
course, the fact that dhl lost the first letter on a colleagues desk
requiring a second didn't help... took 3 business days after acknowledged
receipt of the letter.
i spoke with rimmers about it and they appreciated the feedback but had no
plans to change their shipping arrangements.
