Hey all,
After paint comes the interior. Just a few questions on that.
1. Do you put on the vinyl around the inside of the window frame prior to
installation of the windshield or after?
2. What type of board is best used for the curved inside panels above the
rear wheels, waterboard, 1/8 pressboard, or.... Also, after you cut out the
proper curves do you steam the board to get it to make the bend transition
from the rear cockpit panel up to the rear of the doors?
3. Has anyone placed 6x9 speakers in those quarter panels in No 2 above, good
place for them? Anyone out there with the '72 highback seats, ex. Barry S.,
place speakers in the metal plate at the top of the headrests, similar to
miata seats, with good results?
4. What is the amount of linear vinyl yardage needed to completely recover a
set of '72 highback seats? Marine grade vinyl is on sale for 8.99/yd at JoAnn
Fabrics, FYI.
5. For those that have made the carpet kit themselves, what is the linear
yardage of carpet needed to complete the interior of the car?
