While searching Amazon.com and Ebay, I've found two workshop manuals for
a 1978 Spitfire 1500. The Bentley and Haynes manuals are both
available, which do you recommend for the person who does his own work
on the car? Early projects are the rear spring and u-joints
replacement, and the front trunion replacement.
Previous experience with Haynes type manuals has been disappointing.
While they fully illustrate how to remove a wheel from a car, they will
follow up with a statement like "Remove Transaxle" with no explanation
or "This procedure requires the service of a qualified mechanic" with no
explanation of the procedure.
