Bill,

Just a few thoughts...

1) your block may have some serious damage.  once the thrust washer has
dropped,  it's usually cheaper to just source a new block than have the
damage repaired.
2) have the new thrust washer pinned in place by the machinist.
3) open up the main oil gallery for better flow.
4) add an oil cooler
5) have the entire rotating mass line bored and balanced.
