Do you have a heat shield under the carb of any kind?  IIRC it bolts onto 
the ZS intake manifold.

The heat shields are important otherwise the fuel will boil in the carb, 
and that is what you are getting. If yours is missing, other Listers have 
reported that the proper sized "Air-Bake" brand cookie sheet can be bolted 
on and are effective.

I can take pics of my stock setup to give you an idea of where the piece 
belongs, just let me know.
