I'm in the same boat. Only I was brought to the cars (The Spitfire in
particular) simply because they are drop dead goregous. I'm far from just
a british car fan. I love cars from all eras, from early horseless carriages
to the new sportscars (If you haven't found an excuse to test drive the new
Honda S2000 yet, find one!). True our age group is in a definate minority,
but I've never found anyone who held it against me. The new group of
enthusiatists are definately moving to a different type of car. I've started
to see collections of MR2's, 280-300ZX's, and other decent cars of the 80's
pop up. However the demographic of car collectors and restores is WAY out of
our age group. We'll see what happens in another 15 or so years. I can't
see anybody getting excited about restoring a Chrysler K car.
