There's a small 3" long by 1/2" tall number plate
mounted on the driver's side bulkhead (near where the
bonnet latch catch is) of my 1500.
I noticed that when I removed all of my plates from my
car that this plate w/5 digits doesn't match the VIN
number of the vehicle. (e.g. this plate I mentioned is
46998 FM, and my car's VIN is FM48993U).
I seem to remember hearing that the body numbers
differ from the VIN's. But I just wanted to confirm
that this is the car's body number and not supposed to
be a duplicate of the vin number found on the B-post
ID plate and the windshield ID plate.
