Not only do the arms have shims for adjustment, but so do the large towers 
that the upper arms mount on.  If they are set incorrectly, you will not get
proper alignment of the suspension geometry.  Many people, including alignment
shops, fail to understand the significance of only two axes of rotation in the 
trunion, and blithly set caster by changing the mounting of either the arms 
(common) or the towers (not so common).

OK, on the suggestion of Doug Braun, I checked the vertical links last
night.  The angle of the threaded portion points to spot off the edge of the
upper mount.  This appears to be true on both sides.  Seems if both are
identical, it's the right angle.  But logically, it should be lined up with
the upper mount.....How could both be bent identically?  A Cast Iron V8
dropped into the front by accident??
