Just to satisfy my own curiosity, I just have to ask:
Were Spitfires EVER fitted with air conditioning, even as a dealer-installed
option? My common sense tells me no, but I see some guy on eBay trying to
sell an air conditioning compressor for a '77 Spitfire.

Now I've heard of aftermarket kits for GT6's and TR6's, but never anything
about air conditioners in Spitfires.
So what's the answer?
