Technically it can't be done.  You can't reverse the charge on a
battery.  
Actually, I've seen it done.  Not that uncommon to have happen to
someone who bought an old tractor.  

The battery doesn't work well reversed charged, but it can be reversed.
 Probably the older and dirtier the battery, the easier it will take
reversing.

The only thing I can figure out is that I had a completely dead battery
and
reversed my charger jaws. In doing so, I charged the battery and
reversed the
battery polarity.  IS THIS POSSIBLE??
