Andre,

What do you plan on doing with the engine on the stand?  

If you plan on taking the crank out you'll need to remove the back plate and 
attach the engine stand directly to the block.  also, remove the seal housing 
plate while the engine off the stand as well (or at least the bolts for it) as 
it's much easier to do it then...

But I hate to break the news to you that you won't be able to get the crank 
off as it stands now...

The other option...if you have an extra back plate is to cut out a major 
section of it to facilitate removal of the seal plate and crank while still 
not bolting to the block...

I'll second the engine stand advice though.  I use the small one for the 
spitfire, but it was always a little dodgy with the TR6 engine on it!
