I've just taken the engine & tranny out of the bugeye to get it ready to
paint.  While the engine is out, are there any maintenance items that
should be taken care of at this point?  I'm already planning on replacing
the clutch & slave cylinder or installing the datsun 5 speed, replacing the
accessible gaskets, and cleaning and repainting the engine.  The engine was
rebuilt in the mid 80's and has not been driven much since.
