I have been loaned a kingpin reamer and have my Major Suspension Kit from VB
in hand. Now disassembling front suspension for the job, and , of course,
having trouble releasing the fulcrum pin. I have it soaking in military
surplus rifle bore cleaner which is great for frozen, rusted metal parts.

I need all the input the list can muster on just how to go about doing the
reaming. I remember input a while back, but I came away thinking you push out
the old bearings, then ream the hole for receipt of the new bearings. The
loaner of the reamer told me you push out the old bearings, press in the new
ones, THEN ream the new bearings to fit the kingpin. Which is it? Also,
anybody know the sizes to which to ream the holes? The reamer is adjustable,
so I will have to set it.

Any input on this or any other phase of front suspension construction is
appreciated. Thanks.
