I haven't had any problems. I'm running them in my '79 0.020" over.

The valves clear.

I'm thinking they were probably identical to the ones the Midgets used
but I don't know.

How is that different than the stock sender that comes with the 1500?

Both of mine (both MkIV Midgets - 77 and 79) came with a rostyle spare.

Don't mess with the threads on the oil pressure mount. You'd be putting
yourself through too much of a hassle. Simply get an early 1500, one
made 1975-1977, most of these had oil pressure gauges on them and
instead of having an oil sender had a little pipe fitting that screws
right on so you can hook a little hose up to it and run it through the
firewall into an oil pressure gauge. I'm in the process of doing this
myself.
