Try as I have for the past week I cannot get the steering wheel off the
column.
The large retaining nut spun off easily but the wheel won't separate from
the column, the splined area of the wheel/column must be fused. I really
don't want to use brute force because I know how fragile 40 year old
steering wheels can be. I would just as soon leave the wheel on but I am
currently trying to get the horn to work.
Conventional steering wheel pullers won't work because there is nothing to
grab on to once the nut is removed?
Any ideas?
