OK lets see if I can get this straight. From AN5/501 to AN5/5476 (less 5137,
5287 and 5288 the the windscreen was the 9 male lift the dote fasteners across
the top of the frame. The frame pillars which had square edges (the ones you
refered to) were as you indicated, painted the same color as the body. From
AN5/5477 to 50116 (plus 5137, 5287 and 5288); HAN6/101 to 24731, HAN7/24732
on, the windshield frame had the two lift the dot fasteners. The AN5 had one
piece pillars with rounded edges and were painted silver. There is no
mistake about this! The pillars other than the early numbers indicated above
were absolutely painted silver. This is as stated in the Sprite Concours
Standards Published by the AH Concours Registry. I am one of a number of
assistants working with Sprite Standards, Editor Bruce Gearns.
By the way, for those who want to know, the correct color code for the Pillars
and the Bugeye and MKII wheels is
