Oh I'm not necessarily PO'ed nor am I ragging AH Spares as you suggest. I
am extremely disappointed thought. I apparently left out AH Spares quote
they provided when I inquired about their grills. Here it is again followed
by my quote to them as to why I was choosing them:

AH: "In answer to your question about XGRL101. There has been a problem
with many of the repro grilles. We have had complaints about the studs not
lining up (this happened to one of our employees who tried to fit one on his
own Frogeye). We have now had a new tool made so that the studs can be
accurately welded in position. The first two grilles made using this new
tool were checked by a local Frogeye restorer last week. He said the fit
was perfect so we will now put the product back into mass production and
hope to have stocks of both stainless steel and chrome within the next 6
weeks."

ME: "I will readily admit to you that I am placing the order with AH Spares
in anticipation of receiving a high quality, excellent fitting grill as per
your description."

How would you feel if the things they claim were corrected were not. What
makes it worse for me was that I wanted a new, shiny grill for the upcoming
Berkley show on 9/20. Guess what, it ain't gonna happen now.

I have no doubt that AH Spares will treat me courteously and will take the
grill back. They have always been extremely helpful on my past orders.
This just happened at a bad time.

To paraphrase the singer; "It's my party and I'll friggin' cry if I want
to!"

Jeff
