Sounds like our XJ-S.  When we got it, it wouldn't do past 70mph...not too
good for a 140mph car...followed advice from Kirby Palm's online Jag
book...first thing we did was get a distributor rebuild kit, pulled the
distributor and rebuilt it...now, it has the kind of power it's supposed to.
According to Kirby, the V12 is notorious for this due to the extreme heat and
the type of lubricant the factory used, and the fact that most DPO's and many
Jag mechanics don't lubricate on a regular basis.  So, don't know why this
couldn't be the case here.  Come to think of it, I think I'll pull the dist.
on the Bugeye's 1275 before I drop it in...
