Daniel,
PPG has a spectrometer called the prophet. The prophet analyzes the colour
swatch that you have and then develops a custom paint code to match. I
used this process to come up with a formula for Iris Blue. The result was
fantastic. I was able to paint the Bugeye in a modern Acrylic Urethane
base coat/clear coat. Your supplier may have to tint the paint for an
exact match. At a minimum, the prophet will get you pointed in the right
direction.
