I lost my pinch bolt too. ONCE! But I was going about 30 MPH (for a
change) Once you loose it, you always keep an eye on it.
I also know someone who rolled a Sprite when his pinch bolt came loose,
jambed on the frame while navigating a curve at speed. He lived, but the
Bugeye...........
Everyone should check and/or replace this bolt annually. They are up to
40 years old now.
