This would make sense.  I just rebuilt one side of the 79 I own (I'll do
the other side after I get the motor back in the Chrysler, the timing
belt on the Volvo, the brakes on the Fiat...  You get the idea) because
the wishbone busted at the inner pivot point.  It had to be done or the
car could not be driven.  With all new bushings in place the right side
is about 3/4 of an inch higher than the other side, but it started out
about 1-3/4" higher.  It settled a lot after the first drive and has
settled slowly more since.  I think it has stopped now.  The bushes were
in really poor shape before.
