Got home from work today around 5, sat down to read the newspaper. I decided
to scan the "classics" section of the want ads. This is usually a waste of
time because around here (mid-michigan) a '73 Chevy Impala is considered a
classic. Found the following ad:
"Austin-Healey BN4, 6 cylinder, unassembled, losing storage, first $900 or
best."
I RAN to the phone, dialed madly, only to be told "I think it's sold. A guy
gave me a deposit today and said he would be back next week." ARRGH!!!! The
guy told me the car was complete with many parts from two other cars, extra
bonnets, trunk lids, doors, nine wire wheels, and a bunch of other stuff. Oh
well, sniff, sniff. He did take my name and number and said he would call if
the other guy backs out of the deal. I hope the other guy's wife puts her
foot down <g>.
