There is no such thing as too rusty, just too little cash to repair.  If
your car is straight, and only slightly rat eaten, then you will be better
off patching than buying some one else's botched job.  If it sad but still
running, needs new sills, floors, etc.  Start a complete restoration.  For
less than the price of a Miata, you can have  - less than a Miata.  BUT
TWICE AS MUCH FUN!!!

I guess what I trying to say is that at this point in time you should do
all you can to save your car.  We have already lost to many to the wrecker.
