After 4 or 5 days, look in the float chamber and see if you have any fuel left.
I suspect the gland on the bottom of your float bowl(s) is leaking. Mine were
and I got the new glands from my local supplier.

My '61 Bugeye with 1275 engine runs well, but after driving it, the garage
smells strongly of gasoline for several days afterwards. I do not smell
anything while driving, and have checked for leaks. The only gas I find is
on the bottom of the jets. I only find it under the carbs; the float bowl
connection is dry.

Is it normal for the jets to seep gas? If not, what can I do about it? I
just rebuilt them last spring and put new parts kits in them.
