Hi everyone,

Well, I pulled my engine yesterday and installed new sump seals, new oil
pump seals, new backplate gasket, futzed with the top half of the rear seal
and used liberal abounts of blue goop everywhere just in case, and the
engine still leaks large amounts of oil out the rear. It's not as bad as it
was before but it's still not good.

I purchased the suggested NAPA PCV valve and I was going to install it in
the intake manifold, but I cannot find a tap anywhere that matches this
thing. I've been top four different stores in the last two days and no one
has any idea what size this thread is.

If anyone has drilled and tapped their manifold to use one of these I
really appreciate it if you could write me off the list and let me know the
tap size. I'll have to mail order the tap since I can't get it locally and
it would really help to know the size.

Hopefully a working PCV system will solve the oil leak, it looks like I'm
going in the right direction. I would have installed the PCV valve while I
had everything apart if I could have found this tap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I'll have to grind the
thing down to 7/16 and cut new threads on it.

Thanks,

Robert
