Charles

Many years ago now, like ten, I went to various local "judged" car
shows, all makes usually heald for charity by local car dealers (AKA
Chevy / Ford)
At one show there were 2 AC Cobras, 1 was original, never repainted,
and it looked very good for it's 30+ years of age.
The other Cobra was a kit! Guess who won?
I saw the owner of the original grab the mic and speak his mind to the
people and the judges. He also informed everyone that his REAL AC Cobra
would never be seen at any more shows. I havn't seen it since.

This same thing happened at another show, the kit car big Healey beat
out 3 of the real Healeys, one of which was perfect.
Local cruise nights are great, no competition, drive up and park with
all the old cars and just socialize. No back stabbers, no turned up
noses, and no trailers.
