John , Bruce and Listers........

This seems to suggest that the new springs only settle down when we actually
drive our cars. Most of the time the Midget is driven by one person mainly
due to too many baked beans or the fact that Alison and I take our two cars
to MG Gatherings. From what I have read here all cars appear to sag to the
drivers side. Here in the UK our cars lean to the left! The only tiem I have
seen the Midget level is when Alison has her big (bigger as well) sister
with her;-)
Maybe the trick is to have 1500 springs on the drivers side and 1275 ones on
the other side <<NOT!!>>

;-)

John & Chris,

I, too, have that leaning Midget, this one a "65. No matter what I do, the
left rear sags. All new springs, A arms, floor panels, spring mounts.
It's alway noticed in my garage, but nobody else ever seems to notice it,
and when I start it up, I don't notice it, thus I've taken to ignoring it.

John,
I have replaced all the springs in my Midget over the last 12 months - it
now leans to the drivers side as well. My weight is average, modern springs
from Moss are below average? All my spring mountings are good etc.

Cheers

I thought it was just my perspective, but I've come to the conclusion that
my '75 Midget definitely leans toward the driver's side, even without me in
it. Is it possible to adjust this, or is it a tired old spring?

Thanks,

John Gottstein
